Divide and Conquer Social Options
Due to the high cost (to you) of holding a social with large numbers and catered food, we have instead worked with two local restaurants to accommodate swimmers after the meet ends on Saturday night. So grab your gang and head out for dinner at one of these local restaurants that are expecting us. Your meal should cost about $10 less than if we had catered a dinner and you’ll have more choices!
Option 1:
The Belmont Brewing Co. located just west of the pool (about 200 yards) at the foot of the Belmont Pier. Simply follow the sidewalk uphill toward the pier and you’ll see the restaurant. They have outdoor seating (if it’s nice out) and a large menu with entrees priced between $8 and $17. This is a microbrewery and they have some great beers on tap! They are large and can accommodate many people…the Long Beach Boat parade concludes around 7:00 so to avoid a wait arrive before 7:00.
Option 2:
The Margarita Grill located at 70 Atlantic Avenue. Just take Ocean Blvd. west about 1 mile to Atlantic Avenue, turn right on Atlantic and the restaurant is on your right. There is street parking or you can park in the lot of the hotel next door. This restaurant has a full bar and great Mexican food. You can order from the menu or choose one of these special meals (just mention that you are with the swim meet).
· Ensenada Taco Salad
· 2 Tacos with rice and beans – choice of meat
· Carnitas Plate with rice and beans
· Big Burrito (it’s really big!) with sour cream and Guacamole
Each meal is $15 and includes a non-alcohol drink.
Add $2 for dessert, either flan or their famous tres leches cake.
Entrees from the menu run $8-17.
